Registered Veterinary Nurse, First aid trainer, Small animal Hydrotherapist, K-Laser Practitioner
Kathryn qualified as a Veterinary Nurse since 2003 and as a Training Assessor since 2004, Kathryn
has working in both small and mixed animal veterinary practices throughout North Derbyshire
since the start of her career in 1999.
Her world has always revolved around animals, having owned a variety of pets throughout her life.
Working as a Human First Aider, gave Kathryn an interest in Emergency First Aid and so she
combined her extensive experience and knowledge to produce Animal Emergency First Aid
training courses.
Voluntary work has always been important to Kathryn, and includes many years as a Community
First Responder with East Midlands Ambulance Service, A trip to Na’an Kuse Wildlife and
Rehabilitation Centre, offering her nursing skills working with Cheetahs, Baboons and African
Wild dogs in Namibia, and more recently with WeCare Worldwide in Sri Lanka.
Currently employed by North East Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre, Kathryn works as
Hydrotherapist, K-Laser specialist, & Assessor for students who come to the centre for training.
She has brought her Veterinary Nursing knowledge and experience to the centre to offer clients
a variety of other services such as weight reduction programmes and Animal First Aid training
courses.
