Michael began his dream of working with and rehabilitating dogs opening his own business in
2013, naming it after his own dogs “Biscuit & Baileys”. Most recently the business has become
know as North East Hydrotherapy and Animal Rehabilitation Centre, as it continues to grow.
Having had dogs of various breeds, Michael strives to ensure the heath and wellbeing of families
most loved pets at all times, knowing how much they mean to them all.
He was a proud member of the RAF serving for 14 years doing tours of duty all over the UK and
operations worldwide. He spent a year at a local college teaching and has always been keen to
help others.
His achievements include raising over £14,000 for Macmillan Cancer Care and helping WEcare
Worldwide dog charity, volunteering in Sri Lanka teaching rehabilitation and helping with CNVR
programmes in 2016 and 2018 as well as helping and donating to other local animal charity’s and
shelters here in the North East.
Academically Michael has a couple of degrees that he studied for whilst in full time employment;
he is a teacher and assessor and is a certified recruitment consultant as well as having his Animal
Hydrotherapy and K-Laser qualifications.
His centre is now one of the most highly respected rehabilitation and training centres in the
country and works alongside Animal Jobs Direct in delivering the highest standards of education
in helping students internationally and from the UK in becoming Hydrotherapists.
